Free furniture

On Saturaday a few of us from the Global team went to help deliver furniture to a local Somali family. Mark - a local pastor, secured a truck and off we went.

We brought it to a Somali family. The woman there told us that she's lived here for 4 years, but that the furniture is for her mother and siblings who will be resettled to the Twin Cities on Tuesday from Nairobi. She hasn't seen her mom for 14 years.

Sarah, a teammate, offered to help her mom learn English. The woman replied that she is wanting English help herself, but can't get to classes because of her young children. That's a common challenge - especially for refugee women.

We asked God to bless their home before we left.
